You don't need to be an 'investor' to invest in Singletrack: 6 days left: 95% of target - Find out more
We are off to Morzine for our family holiday and taking the two youngest kids’ (16 & 13) bikes to do some riding in amongst.
When I go on my own, for three days or whatever, I usually opt for snowcard cover but when I spoke with them, they will only cover for the entire holiday duration.
We won’t be riding everyday on the family hol, and while we have travel insurance generally, the provider seems a bit tetchy about mountain biking, although having said that, the kids won’t be doing more than reds.
Are there any providers of ad-hoc insurance, that I could even book when I am there as we won’t even know the days we are riding probably until the night before?
Any thoughts, advice?
Really ? I put them in for 1 day last year for both me and my boy, even though we were away for 2 weeks.
I use Worlds Nomads in addition to normal insurance, I cover the whole trip, but it's so cost-effective I don't worry too much about it.
Yellow Jersey was mentioned on another thread and comes in at £87. Ideally, day by day cover for the activity would be preferred as the bikes are already covered. Seems like we are paying for 14 days of riding.
@rockhopper70 The easy solution is to just ride every day of the holiday!
picture the scene.
You phone up , pay for insurance for the day on top of the insurance you already had.
you crash and need repatriated.
who pays ? *
*of course having had to repatriate someone - i know the real answer is - you pay and then fight about it afterwards.
