We're near Davos and planning on riding in the area for a few days.  There's some confusing info on the official site about various offers and tourist cards, and I know it's a big area.  Is Davos itself the place to stay and is there any real benefit in booking one of the Bike Hotels.  Apparently you get a free bike pass, but I assume you still need to pay basic costs for the lifts?

Thanks

If its a Bahnen Tour from Herbert Bike, you should get a big envelope on arrival at the Bike Hotel:
Singletrail Map, person lift pass, Bike lift pass, ride magazine and some other schizzle.

Take a bike hotel in town, easy pedal to the lifts, good and free parking, no hassle.

It is an all inclusive price.. hotel, lifts etc.

So a seach and hit the translate button as I don't think there is an English option on their site.

We have done three of these... excellent value. Eat in the Coop in Davos. The cafe is good and you dont need to sell body parts to pay for food...

Davos is probably the best place to stay if you’re riding the valley.

The lift pass will give you free public transport on all the mountain lifts (though I think you need to pay for your bike), the trains from Filisur down to Klosters & the buses in the same area.

It’s one of my favourite places to ride though I’m biased as I virtually grew up there.

Ride the IMBA Epic, Chorbschorn, the A Line in Klosters. There’s far more - too many to list.

Will be interesting what you think of the area, i love it personally. If you want to stay in a mountainhut the Kesch Hut is a nice straightforward tour riding-wise.
