Does anyone know of a database of suspension seals?
I have bought enough seal kits now to know that I don't want to buy another. Frequently the kit is wrong and occasionally the manufacturer switches out a quad ring for an O-ring or doesn't supply a seal or bushing. And most of the static seals don't need to be changed anyway.
So for my next re-build I want to just replace the main dynamic seals and the rubber puck for recharging (just a bit of 7mm O-ring cord apparently). I am in no hurry for the job to be done so will just measure the seals as they come out and buy those. Potentially this should save most of the cost of the (DIY) service.
But, this would be a lot easier if there was a database of seals used in shocks so you could just buy what you need for a few pence rather than an overpriced seal kit. Anyone know of anything?
The price of 50hr-200hr seal kits really is a joke though, might as well just get in serviced.
