good day eh. anyone in here have experience with these? they are virtually unknown in Canada, but there is a distributor that has these 72 POE hubs for a reasonable price. on paper they compare very well to some very high price options, with claims of great weatherproofing. i see they are from Poland, but seem to be geared for UK in both name and performance claims. any first hand experiences, would love to hear. quality, durability, etc.
Have been running the Reel Pro 102 on my kids dh bike for 1 year. Started with the Shimano freehub body. No issue, rolls well and looks cool. Encountered issue after swapping in XD freehub body. The spacer between the freehub body and the hub was just a tad bit short resulting in the seals being pressed too tight after tightening. Solved with a few brass washers and it's been running well with very little friction.
I tought of it as an inexpensive i9 hub and it performs flawlessly. Just got the i9 hydra delivered today and it weights just around 50 grams lighter with more drag before breakin. It is 7075 though but it means nothing for kids. Race is coming up in a month and I just don't see significant advantage swapping it in. It's good and now I'm thinking that I should had spent that money on a Vorsprung Secus instead of the i9.
