Looks like the one! I do a similar route quite regularly. When you come up the hill to Manaton you can take the bridleway to Water on the left just before the church instead of going down the road. Always a bit confused as to why they miss that little bit out and always use the road in the mag routes.
Watch out for the jungle like vegetation in places!

the return from birch tor is a bit odd. if I was heading over that way I'd do coombe down and easdon on the return to north bovey instead.

I've tried that ride a few ways round and have my own favourite version - which I think takes things from the best direction. It's always a tricky one as there isn't an obvious way of looping around Nut Crackers:

I start off in the Hound Tor car park so I can come back to a 'Hound of the Basket Meals' Burger and Ice Cream afterwards 🙂

At the top of the Yarner Wood ascent turn left on to the road and up to the car parks and go right on to the moor to Smallacombe rocks. Great views of Haytor and even better a brilliant techy descent down from there starting at a rocky drop in.
Definitely go up Easdon it’s beautiful. Go all the way up and turn left up to the trig point for more great views and the head back along the top towards Figgie Daniel Rock and there is another funky descent skirting left of the conifer wood down to the road.
When you’ve done the Nutcracker don’t turn right towards Foxworthy as it’s a bit hike a bike but carry on down a great descent towards the river and then turn left along the river and down to the fire road and the bridge. You can turn right and if youve still got the legs up the fire road back to Water and the descend the other side of the river.
It’s a great ride whichever version. Have fun.
