Hello Singletrack peeps,
I'm trying to renovate a old Dawes road bike for a friend. Does anyone know where I can find some 8spd compatible chainrings. I had a hunt on ebay and they're crazy prices. Does anyone know where I might be able to find some at a reasonable price?
thanks

I'm currently using a 34T http://www.planetx.co.uk/i/q/CROOTHTH/on-one-ringmaster-chainring

and have a 34T http://www.planetx.co.uk/i/q/CROOSS/on-one-stainless-chainring in the spares box.

Currently 15 squids a pop.

Especially with the 30% payday code at Superstar until tomorrow, I wonder if their n/w rings including the ovals would work fine with my 8-speed drivetrain. I think 9-speed chains are the same internal width as 8-speed, so I suspect they would work.

52 and 42 - tooth, 130mm BCD, 5 bolt. I'm replacing the stock chainrings on an old RX100 chainset.

I wrote about the internal width of chains, not chainrings. 😉

https://www.sjscycles.co.uk/chainrings/39-aerozine-130mm-bcd-5-arm-chainring-black/ any good for £20?

Sorry, I checked but those I have are 135 bcd.
They are 8 speed and 42/52, which is lovely, but only of use if you can find some campag cranks for them.
ebay chainset?
