Hi all.

I bought a set of unused but secondhand Mavic Askium wheels and have tried to fit a new 105 cassette to them but even with the lockring up tight the cassette is still loose?

There was a spacer that come with the cassette that I fitted but its still wobbly?

10 speed cassette if it helps.

Have I done something wrong?

thanks

Steve

10 speed needs a wider spacer than 11 speed. Think I fit two to my Ksyriums./

Will need a spacer for 10speed I would think.

Have you checked the actual freehub itself isn't wobbly? Movement of the cassette will accentuate any wobble, but I had to send back a Ksyrium because the freehub went wobbly after only a couple of hundred miles.

Think this is what you need;
http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/mavic-cassette-spacer/rp-prod25399#

It sorted it for me when I switched from a 9 speed cassette to a 10.

Hopefully some one will have a correct answer just from memory Mrs antigee had 10 speed mavic askiums and the hub is a bit unusual doesn't follow normal 10 11 speed spacer rules and needs 2 spacers the thin one and the slightly thicker one sorry to be vague but you are right it does need some effort to sort

You need the 1mm spacer that comes with the cassette and a 1.85mm 11spd spacer.
