Mekk Poggio 2 carbon road bike at costco, only the 54 and 56 available, bit gutted as i prob need the 58, bugt for £803 can i stretch the stem and get a longer seat post, really tempted
Personally I wouldn't compromise getting the right size because something's a bit of a bargain.
58........how tall are you ?
I am 5'11" and ride 54
double post
Go to your local bike shop and get measured up, and it's only really the top tube and seat angle that will matter

Or you could go to your local bike shop and actually buy a bike from them.
NEVER buy a bike that doesn't fit you.
Tbh I haven't tried it yet, gonna go to costco tomorrow for a butchers, if it doesn't fit i wont buy, but ig a few mm on a stem and/or a seatpost can rort it well 1, I might have the bits floating around already, 2 its cheaper than the alternatives 🙂
Have you looked at ribble? They do some pretty decent bikes at that price point, and you can then get your size.
btw for marqin, I'm 6' 3"
at 6'3" I would expect you to want a 60 or 62 frame.
aye, 56...you will look like a clown...
OK so after the above i had a look on flea bay and this

expectation and reality are often quite different.
no idea of torso/arm/leg length/flexibility/differences between how manufacturers size their bikes etc.
i'm 6ft1 and my road bike is a 55*
*another meaningless piece of anecdotal sizing evidence. 🙄
Its tricky - tom boonen is 6'4"- rides a 60 and has a 140mm stem. Yes he is pro and belgian(stem!) but just pointing out that sizing isnt an exact science.
that's his seat tube, it's the effective top tube that will determine fit (along with seat angle and headtube height) 🙂
