So after waiting 2 years to get a set of Clarks M4 brakes, and giving up when the 180mm rotor M2's were on offer at CRC the other week, I see now that Merlin has the M4's in stock..
Mildly frustrated, but off-set somewhat by the fact the M2's were less than half the price of the M4's.
Link to merlin if anyone interested:

And CRC for the M2's (now more than I paid)

Just need to see how they perform now!
I fitted M2 to my SS hybrid commuter last week.
Powerful enough for skinny trues on the road and they feel good.
Shortened the hoses easily without to much air but my bleed kit arrived this morning so I'll be doing that after work tomorrow.
£90 for a F+R set of 4 pots is pretty good VFM.
I've been pretty happy with my M2s for a while...
I fitted M4’s to my nephews bike in 2020. They’re good for the money but I thought they were a bit less powerful than my Guide R’s at the time.
Hmm, £80 with loyalty discount. Those M3s look quite interesting, too.
Similar M4 brakes , different branding from aliexpress , £47 !

Levers are pretty big on the clarks
@montgomery - don’t buy the M3’s - they’re meant to be absolute cack. Go m2 or m4
They are available on the bay for @ £70, branded Meroca instead of Clarks.
I've been using them for around 6 months with no issues.
Look at the meroca m4 and the 'original' Clarks m4 and they're identical.
Then look at the pics on the Merlin website and both the lever blade and caliper are quite different.
Wonder if Merlin have Clarks m4 mark2???
Also... AliExpress you need to add VAT
Thanks for the tip re: M3s. I'd rather pay an extra tenner, keeping the money circling in the local economy (Merlin was my local shop until a recent move) and, incidentally not propping up the Chinese state with the extremely dodgy international postal subsidies that make ordering from China remotely economical.
Interesting, I've had a couple of pairs of M2's and for the cash they are decent. I bought some "Clouts" thinking it would be more of the same but they are absolutely awful!
And CRC for the M2’s (now more than I paid)
Am I missing something... A whole brake system - lever, caliper, rotor.... for £24!? WTF!? I just bought a rotor for that! I spent that on pads!
The M3's are dreadful, wandering bite point, impossible to bleed. Clouts are fine, not much different to an m2 by the look of them
As above, we sent our M3s back, they were awful. Really awful. Lever reach would adjust in during a ride, my son had to carry a 3mm allen key to make several mid-ride adjustments. They leaked too. M2s are very good for the money.
I got some early M4s and had the same issues as above, not being able to get a decent bleed to work effectively as though a seal was blown - sent them back and ended up buying maguras as a budget option on the lads bike.
