I'm doing the 10 mile run as a pair, mates doing the bike bit, wee question - are the trails still open while the event is on? It's about 70 mins drive, so I'll want to get a loop in on the bike after the run, haven't rode any of the DG trail centres in years, and always liked Dalbeattie.

Cheers.

Not ridden the event but rode the trails last month for the first time since me and Chris bell had a good old ding dong at an sxc 10 + years ago.

Trails were riding ace.

Loved the real board walk

Done the event. The event uses some of the trails so I would assume some bits to be closed. If you want to ride afterwards then it may be better to enter as a single, your mate can do the same but just not do the ride? Overall the event is not overly taxing, just good fun.

Aye, good memories for me, used to drive down and ride there every week when I was on shifts, some decent off piste stuff that was cut for the SXC many years ago, as you'll know.

Nobeer- pretty sure all trails will be closed to anyone other than competitors since bike route is always the full red route. Kippford, across the road, have some wee trails(find them on Trailforks/Strava)
