For sale on gumtree as the son can't ride it and doesn't like it

For a start, the forks are back to front. I wouldn't fancy riding with negative take!

So you just posted an ad in the main forum, well done.
Thats quite some toe overlap.

From what I read on the ad the dad bought it online to get his son fit, wonder how long it took to get the left hand pedal on

That toe overlap reminds me of a Planet X XLS I briefly owned. I’d never heard of it until the first time I went otb on it.

First thing I look for on a bike now out of habit.

How do people make that mistake, it's like they've never seen another bike before, no wonder the kid cant ride it and doesn't like it, with that and the brake levers its unrideable.

😀

I love how having the forks on backwards didn't mess the handling up enough, so they've also adjusted the stem to give 90 degrees rise and 10mm reach.

Maybe the kid has incredibly long legs and tiny arms (are they a T-rex?) and it actually fits them okay.

I have pointed out to 2 people in MTB settings (a 24 hour race and a trail centre) that their suspension forks were fitted incorrectly.

First person effectively told me to sod off and told me that he liked them like that.  I did ask how he got round the tricky issue of the fork brake arch smacking into his downtube, I don't recall the answer but it did involve grumbling.

The second person was very happy that I had spotted it and said he did wonder why his bike "felt funny".  His mate had fitted he forks. Scary.

I think people think that the disc caliper should be the same as a regular caliper brake and have it forward facing. And apart from bikes quite often packaged with the fork the wrong way round its the only thing I can think of.

With that pipe in the background I thought it had triathlon bars for a second. I've only seen that mistake before on kiddie bikes, oh and on a smackhead's bike riding without a rear tyre with a flymo over his shoulder.
