Anyone know if these two (carparks etc) are open tomorrow, with the recent tier changes? I presume Cymcarn is but FOD not so clear.

No reason why FOD wouldn’t be - no change to their tier is there? I think CC is open but if you’re in England you can only go there from a tier 1 or 2 place I think (unless it’s changed AGAIN)

FoD is open as usual, remember Cannop Centre is just one part, you can nip over to Beechenhurst whichi is a 5 minute ride away from Cannop, it also has a better cafe!

CwmCarn has been sending out messages due to the Welsh Covid restrictions stating it is only for locals to use at present, so i'd avoid for a while, guessing February by the looks of it!

Thanks both. It would be a trip from Bristol, which is currently Tier 2.

Sounds like it's best to avoid Cymcarn.

My understanding of the current rules is you can travel into wales from tier 1 and 2 areas but not from tier 3.
so cwmcarn would be fine.
FOD is tier 2 at the moment.

As with anywhere for biking, just avoid congested areas, it's why i haven't been to Cannop Centre for ages, i stick with Mallards or Parkend/Bream, you set up quietly, then ride with controlled and limited groups, rather than the usual bunching up at the centre.

Cwmcarn is fine as long as you come from a Tier 2 area or lower. Car park is free until 1st January too. FOD is running as normal too but busy, if I go I tend to park either up near Edge End or by the stone factory at Cannop Ponds. I'll be at one or the other tomorrow depending upon my mood in the morning.

Pretty sure the change in rules mean Wales is pretty much out for travelling to bike places

FofD was very busy today. Car parks were rammed. Usual large Xmas family groups filling the paths and looking slightly shocked at being outside, gripping tightly into their takeaway coffees from Beechenhurst.
