well originally i was looking at those chinese carbon jobbies but realised i just haven't got the dollar at the moment (with import duty etc probably notching up at around £500 + potentially)

So found the crosslight 5t

[img] [/img]

for £228

anyone raced on it?

Any other recommendations?

What size are you after? I'm thinking about buying a Dirty Disco so my Airborne will be up for sale (Alu)

No idea on weight sorry ... It's more than light enough to race and frameset was used by a few national riders last year ... Mine is for sale but if you were anywhere near Newcastle feel free to come pick it up 🙂

I race on a 5t, Its fine for me, scraped a top 10 in the Welsh League and ended up 12 over all, I dont think it was the bike holding me back.

The eventual league winner raced on the Kenesis frame above with the carbon back end....

Reminds me I've got to get a 2x20 done in about 10 minutes......

If you're going to be racing you wont be wanting discs.

That forme is great value and Forme are made by Kinesis with a lifetime warranty. ( I think)

Why is that then? Good enough for the Ex National Champion and Rapha cross series team winners....

i got a 5t and have raced on it, im not so good at cx and havnt really had much experience on other cx frames but i think id say its stif but pretty good for a few hours on the road too. a smidge of toe overlap but thats never been an issue. and also the flat top tube isnt the most comfy but not an issue for a cx race. good tyre clearance and i recon prety bomb proof. looks alright, i got the blue black one in 54. 2 bottle holders and bits for racks if that puts you off, versitle frame and dont think yo can beat it for the price.

Look at Dolan CX bikes. I've had an alloy and now have the carbon version. Mega value for money.
