I have a cheap cyclocross bike with these rims
Alex ATD 470 Disc rim with TCS (Tubeless Compatible System)
What do I need to turn them in to tubeless?
I have tubeless on my Alpine but had to use a conversion kit and hoping I dont need to with these rims.
Any tips?
I have a the ATD 470, but it doesn't have sealed rims - is there a newer version?
I've taped mine up and they work fine with some Nano 40s.
There is a sticker on the rim that i was starring at when failing to fix the punctures that TCS was possible. But that could have been put on the wrong rim I guess.
Tape 'em up and you'll be fine. Or try 'ghetto tubeless' for absolute security.
A couple of layers of insulation tape will see you right. And tubeless valves of coarse.
Yellow tape and valves from Superstar will do the trick, some sealant and tubeless ready tyres might be handy too
