sorry to hear about your fall, i hope you are OK.

The cx was superb, loads of riders, great course and good weather. Finished half way down the field.

Legs are a bit sore now!

I met the guy who wrote that at purdown during the winter, jason I think.

He passed me in about the last third of the ride!

Good write up, he was right about the beer abd bbqs, prompted me to buy some beers on the way home!

Anyone know who else was taking pics? There were quite a few capturing the psin.

finished 5th in the end and one very muddy bike

No. The kids did but not me. Rode my cx bike through upton cheyney, landsdown, north stoke and weston on the way to work this mirning and got plastered! Cannot believe how much the weather has changed in a few hours.

I will probably ride bath next week.

I must ride my cross bike more than just racing.

Did the kids enjoy it?

Can't wait for next week. They're using rollers, jumps berms and the bmx start gate!

He was ruined! caught him on lap 2 and he just went backwards.. said he wasn't feeling it. Suppose racing cross twice a week 1 day after the other isn't going to help.

I still need to work on my dismounts/remounts.. I'm rubbish!

Think I might have that feeling tonight. Emptied myself in a TT last night and legs are suffering at the moment. Newbury is a punishing course too. 😐

Ah, I was the LVIS rider who beat that guy! I knew he'd have me on the uphill drag to the finish line so just went all out all the way from the bottom. nearly vommed over my handlebars at the finish!

I agree, last night was the most fun I have had on a bike for quite a while.

For those who did not go, the course was unique. Some sections on the new Bath closed circuit tarmac race track, some of the Bath BMX track (jumps and berms) and some quite challenging single track.

Well done to the organisers!

I cannot make Warmley but should be at Oldbury (I think they were saying last night that Lockleaze has now moved to the end of the series).

Nice one!

I cannot make the Warmley round and with Lockleaze moving to the end of the series I won't be riding one until Oldbury on the 17th.

Good course on Wednesday evening, a bit of everything in a 1 mile circuit. Tarmac, grass, singletrack, BMX jump and berm, tricky descent and climb in the woods.

Good for MTBers too. On my warmup lap I was wishing I had brought my 29er but it was fine on a cross bike. I lost it twice on the cut grass track, it got very slippy as the race wore on.

And I was one of the pussies on the jumps 🙂

Did you race?

it was bone dry.. bit of a climb, rutted and some narrow singletrack.

Loved the course although turned up a bit late and only had 10minutes warm up. Managed 6th place but was holding off 6th place guy for 6 laps until he took me on the last lap and i couldn't respond

Next race in 2 weeks

Came over in the end, I was in the dodgy looking yellow VW T4. N022 all in black with a white Helmet. I enjoyed it, good course, made a nice change to do cyclocross on a fast dry track. No idea where I finished, probably my usuall mid pack. Did notice there aren't as many vets as in S.Wales. There was only one other V50 as far as I could see. Loads more of us old boys across the channel !! Deff try and do another one.

Tough tough race last night. So hot i suffered like a dog

Totally dropped off the pace towards the end and got overtaken by 2 guys with 2 laps to go (after building up a gap of 300 metres for 7 laps)

Although I did speak to them at the end and they said they were working together to get to me
