i have just bought a kaffenback for a friend . it won`t take 35 tyres at the rear, the bigist i can get in are 700 x 28 scwalbe hybrid tyres . anything bigger rubs the front mech band . is this right or am i doing something stupid ?

Kaffenbak is a winter road bike, not a CX bike hence the limited tyre clearance.

Frame weight is around 4lbs, and the frames are built to be super durable, with a TIG welded downtube gusset meaning that they’re stronger than many mountainbike framesets, and suitable for moderate off-road use as a recreational cross frame. Tyres up to 32c fit in the back with no problem. Tubing is Maxwall chromoly. Strong and light.

FWIW I've got 28c ones on mine and do a bit of light off-road but mostly road.
