Some years back I bought a budget Cyclo headset press. It was a bit of a bargain and has given sterling service but was bought in the days when 1 1/8th headtubes were the norm and doesn't have inserts for 1.5" headsets, which seem to be fairly standard these days. Does anyone know if it's possible to buy inserts that to make the press usable with 1.5" or tapered headsets?

If the Hope thing doesn't work there is a guy in US on ebay that sells adapters.
I bought some for my old Cyclus Press but they didn't fit so measure the the diameter of the threaded carefully to see if his adapters fit your press, I didn't..... We did a deal outside of ebay which worked out cheaper though.

I bought the 1.5 cyclus press from rosebikes, or somewhere similar in germany.

I got a couple of large washers for mine form the local hardware store (I just flipped the cyclus press over so the larger flat surface is against the washer and it keeps it nice and stable). A bit of a bodge but seems to work ok.

Bought a 1.5 from the u.s chap, also got some adapters for 20mm wheels for my truing stand. Both nice bits of kit, postage is hefty but looking at his form seal presses too.

Thanks, there are some options to look into.

I think that my press may be a Cyclex rather than Cyclo.
