cheeky local cyclists have been taunting motorists trapped in a jam of chaos as the local council shut down every major route around poole harbour, including the chain ferry.

Calm down, cheer up. just presenting an alternative option. And its factually correct, as 77.34% of commuters are not in the "OK" area on the BMI scale.

Why is it if you offer a different view from the OP on here you are seen as being irate, frothing, angry, upset miserable etc

I just think it is not funny

That would include the fat, wobbly cyclists and Sir Chris Hoy.

When Manchester commuters were asked to vote on a London style congestion charging system (which would pay for a much more efficient public transport and cycle system), the 'for' lobby had posters up like that all around the city centre. There must have been thousands of people who would spend long, long periods of their lives staring at these posters and yet they still didn't vote for the changes. What a complete bunch of idiots.

Do you mean the 'Metrolink Big Bang' expansion? It is well underway despite the 'No' vote.

I know someone inside the M60 proposal boundary who relies on public transport who voted against better public transport....

what was infuriating about that vote is that no-one from the yes vote would point out that voting yes was charging out of towners for the roads they jam up but voting no was voting for an increase in council tax

Used to know a guy 20 or so year ago that continually complained that it took him 30-40 minutes to drive to work every day though heavy traffic. He could have done the same journey on foot in 5 minutes. His reasoning for driving “I have a car and I’m going to use it”. That's the sort of mentality you have to deal with.

From the perspective of someone who commutes to work on a motorbike, using a route that includes green lanes, I do find the bickering between the more extreme cyclists and car drivers amusing.

It's like watching infants squabble over a teddy bear.
