Anyone ridden the Cateran trail?

There's an old thread but it's 9 years old and closed to new comments.

I was tentatively looking at it a couple of months ago but a bit of research showed up quite a few trail diversions due to Storm Arwen and a bridge closed too. I think the bridge has since been restored to use.

There's the newer Markus Stitz backed ecomuseum trails. I might try to map out a route that ties the routes together.

Tried it in March. Significant damage from Storm Arwen in Blackcraig Forest after Bridge of Cally (clockwise).

Even if it hadn’t been for the awkward diversions due to storm damage, I wouldn’t rush back to do it again. Shame, as a pal has access to a cottage right on the route near Glenisla, so it had always appealed.

Did it a few years ago on the gravel bike. A few good sections here and there but quite a lot of crappy sections. By no means a bad day out but I’d def plan a different route next time I’m in the area.

Cheers for the advice. Maybe give it a miss then.
