Hello there,

got to find some 15 min classroom activities for tomorrow, yrs 3-6, bike based.

Going to do a quiz, based on the D.O.T. Tales of the Road booklet, but need other things too.

Anybody got something they could e-mail over?

A colouring-in sheet for the younger ones, anything. I'm desperate here. Thanks

Alex

Got nothing on paper but ideas...
Bike safety - helmet, gloves, high viz clothing, match pictures of kit to the rider/spot the difference
Label names of parts of a bike (pretty basic, stick to brakes, wheels, tyres, pedals, handlebar) - could do this in foreign language/Welsh?
Older/more able ones could match explanations of components to the name.
Road sign snap

Good luck!
Neil

You could always get them to put tubeless tyres onto rims, lots of people on here seem to struggle with that 🙂

LOL at cloud nine. You can ask my boss how come I'm doing this at the last minute.

He has many qualities...

Thanks, some good ideas here, got the bike parts sheet done.

Explanation of parts to name is great too.

OK, just got to finish off now, and I missed Le Tour for this 🙁

Cheers

Alex

Probably a bit late but have a look on the bkeability website. Scroll down for the games and look right for the teacher's notes resources.

Kip, not too late at all, I'll now have a couple of extra ideas in the bag should I need them, thanks.

OK, back from the school, had a great day, the kids were super.

Would have been so much better if the boss had delivered children's bikes instead of adult MTBs and folding bikes!

Still, most of the kids got a chance to have a ride.

Fortunately there was the quiz and drawing area, so thank you all for helping make that a success 🙂
