been ticking a bit of a list off I made a few years ago when the wife started cycle touring with me.
so we have been to france 5 times, taking in the length of the French west coast from Biarritz to Dunkerque, including Brittany.
we have toured in the rhone alps area, and in the occitanie Pyrenees area.
we have done all the herbides and skye, mull, isla, jura and the bits inbetween.
earlier this year we headed to northern Norway, and I a week we are heading to Holland for a weeks chilled easy riding.
still got a big list we want to work down.

where have you been touring, or have plans to tour?

Done the Hebrides, followed the Danube and ridden from Finland to Poland. All good, for different reasons.

Think the next one's going to be the Loire Valley and I'd like to do a three day tour of Islay to visit a load of the distilleries.

My List so far;
Oxfordshire to Devon - wet, windy and cold, did when 16
Oxfordshire to Slovenia - 18 days - straight through the alps
Geneva to Nice - Offroad mainly via GR5 - 19 days- awesome but hardcore bikepacking
Toulouse to Venice - Tandem with Fiance - 2 months taking it slow
Luxembourg to Calais - Tandem with Fiance - 2 weeks, got back on Sunday.

Fancy doing Netherlands on the Tandem, and a few alps crossings on the MTB (Dolomites, southern alps and width of Switzerland and more)

Have my sights set on some Northern Spain action next year, along the coast from San Sebastian to A Coruna.
Have done a wee bit of walking on some of that coast and really liked it.

We've mainly done UK based mini-tours:

Dales Cycleway over three days
Tour de Wiltshire (Cirencester, Devizes, Pewsey, Marlborough, Wooton Basset, Cirencester) over a weekend
Tour de Stonehenge (Wootton Basset, Avebury, Amesbury, Wilton, back via Stonehenge) over a weekend
Tour of Two Rivers (Gloucester, Much Marcle, get on the Wye near Hereford, follow it all the way to Chepstow via Ross, Symonds Yat, Monmouth and Tintern, over the Severn Bridge, back up the alongside the Severn to Gloucester, including a section on the Sharpness canal) over a weekend

and ten days riding across Mongolia 🙂

With partner is more relaxed but the load it heavier load! Kids now so no plans. I'd like to do the Balkans.

ON the great master plan for when we retire is North sea to black sea - up the Rhine and down the Danube with side excursions.

Moskenes to Tromso in Norway - joining Mrs Felltop, who is riding the length of Norway

Then next month we are riding from Narbonne to Ansterdam on the tandem - it's a busy year....

More recently done few dashes through France & Alps, a fully supported ride round Corsica but no proper touring & camping trips for years 🙁 probably be investing in a trailer for the tandem in the near future though.

Plenty in France, one in each ofthe following: Germany, Orkney, West Country.Suprised myself by really liking Belgium. One to the Netherlands.
One in France that I haven't seen mentioned yet and thought was really nice is the Lot valley.
Off tomorrow evening to start le velo Francette, Caen to La Rochelle.

Is that part of La Velodysee? I quite fancy that

France from Brittany to Perpignan via Tours, Limoges, and the Massif Central.
Devon and Cornwall coast to coast to coast to coast - basically zigzagged my way up!
Ireland, all around Cork, Kerry, and Limerick.
Sweden, starting at Gothenburg and went around Vannern and Vattern, then south to the coast and back up to Gothenburg. Lots of wild camping on lake shores.

@IHN
No, its different, it is a more recent route and could be used as a seperate route to La Rochelle, then onwards or back on la velodysee. I think it is going to be a nice route, also looks fairly flat as I have my OH with me, she doesn't like hills much.
If you search velofrancette you come to a couple of official sites that should give you an overview. Sorry, can't do links

we did the velodysee route up to La Rochelle last year.
we then veered off via La roche sur Yon, then Nantes. it was on brilliant cycle paths and very quiet lanes.
from Nantes to Redon we followed lanes, and from Redon to St Malo we followed the Vilaine river path to Rennes and then the Rance river path all the way to St Malo.

simply bloody stunning.

Well it's a subset of touring so I guess so...
