Halfords to Pure Scooters, WTF are Pure scooters and April 2020 - really?
A little bit less market share for Halfords. Perhaps the LBS can have that bit back.
Those who have lost their jobs have my sympathy though.
Announced by Halfords a couple of months ago; as for April 2020 closing date, that's confusing.
They announced firstly the chain was for sale, then closed shops due to Corvid, and now closure all together.
But they had a very limited selection of stock and limited staff.
yet I was reading that bike shops couldn't keep up with demand (although that may be capacity to make bikes from kits given issues with social distancing and sharing tools etc.)

Not really, the above was posted 3 weeks or so ago, it isn't new news.
Another fling of the Halfords bike shop yoyo. I wonder what amazing plan for dedicated bike stores they'll roll out next time. Bike Republic? Cycle Hut? While I don't want to see people lose their jobs, working for a Halford's standalone bike brand should be considered a short term venture.
