Ok so one of those credit where credits due threads.

So I got my new shiny stumpjumper expert a few weeks ago. Really nice and one of my dream bikes. I got this from Cycle Gear in Halifax. Good service from them and I walked out with it an hour later.

Fast forward a week and after a good trip with CMBC to hellvellyn i went on a short spin through the local woods. Ended up for one reason or another falling off and the rear triangle cracked. I ended up leaving the bike at cycle gear last week and last night picked up a brand new bike. So good work from them and so much so ill be spending a lot more brass there in the future. So a bad situation turned out ok in the end.

Happy days 😊

Although my first carbon bike so im still in the bloody carbon camp 🙂

Must be a bit more to it than 'falling off/it cracked'. You hit something rocky and pointy?

Bloody good of them to replace the full bike and not just the rear triangle.

EDIT: Ah yes, I see your CMBC post. That is indeed very good of them you lucky devil.

Nice guys but seemed a bit disorganised when I dealt with them.  I ordered an orbea rallon L, I got sent an XL.  When they checked they didn't have a L in stock and something had been messed up.  I decided to keep it as I was borderline on sizing but asked for a shorter stem and a refund to cover the invisiframe I needed to reorder which they agreed to no issues.  Then the stem turned up and it was a 31.8mm clamp not a 35mm in the wrong box. 🙄 They sorted that out too but they had to order it in taking longer again before I could get out.

TLDR: Nice guys, good customer service, shit stock control.

Good (recent) experiences from me buying a couple of Whyte hardtails for the kids. Happy for us to test ride out the back, happy to get extra stock in to be sure on sizes, good communication when the stock came in and keen to do a deal. Lots of stock (bikes, accessories, clothing) in the shop. Right next to the Piece Hall if you want a trip out.
