are these interchangeable with a 29er?
Only issue could be rear axle spacing, depending on the CX frame.
My wife's Specialized Crux is a 135mm, so the same as an mtb frame.

was thinking of a front disc brake as the fork has a disc mount
as said above my worry is people suggesting running 29er wheels on CX's - fine if running 35mm wide but seen suggestions to run 25mm on rims that simply aren't designed for it - people do get away with it but needs to come with a warning
I suppose it depends on what tyres you want to run on the bike, the fork spacing will be the same.
Double check the specs with the rim and tyre manufacturer to make sure they're compatible.
