More like, "Hey, those mountain bikers have come up with some pretty cool technology. Wonder if we can use it, too?"

See also road discs, tubeless, etc.

Tony at thumbprint tuning has been running a travel reduced carbon lefty on his CX bike for a number of years, we've been wondering if it would catch on 😉

It somehow seems "wrong" to me, for CX to adopt too much of the kit already found on MTBs...

It looks cool but then would it be that beneficial? Wheel changes would be far too slow for racers and is it really worth all the extra gubbins for an inch and a half of front suspension?

I'd have one for the 3 peaks!

I've seen the WC XC boys getting it done faster than the T de F manage.

The problem isn't really is it worth it but is it still CX. Considering the technicality that is coming into top level XC racing perhaps CX is the new entry level XC racing.

I'd like a rigid carbon one, just for the mud clearance.

They may have fixed the forks for mud clearance but that was never the issue with my old SuperX, the rear clearance was horrendous.

My 2015 SuperX has plenty of rear clearance.
