Need help!
Going to have a sora groupset lying around shortly after am upgrade on my road bike.
I would really like a cheap cx frame set to throw it on along with the old road wheels to make a winter road bike for thrashing along the country farm roads on. Would like to run cx tyres so I don't need to worry if the local farmers have been drag racing their tractors on the roads.
So, what should I buy??
Budget? discs or calipers?
Was hoping to get change from £300 but I don't know if I'm kidding myself on. Sort of hoped there would be a geared cx version of the on one inbred.
Calipers, and sort of hoping they would work with the sora levers, but again, I might be kidding myself! !
Have a look on the ribble website they have some bargain frames
If it's new sora then they work ok with discs and calipers.
i'd go for a used frameset rather than looking at new - loads of caliper frames going now that riders are upgrading to discs.
Paul Milne cycles on eBay have loads of race frames in that range if that's what you are after. Formed at that price are very good.
Its a 2009 sora set... and my wheels are rim not disc
Ribble and cantis it is then...
I'll sell you a Singular Kite in Medium flavour with Kinesis DC09 forks for £250...
That's a bargain, but too good for Sora 😀
Kaffenback from Planet X?
If you're after large you can get a fully built one for less than your £300 (mine in the classifieds) and put the sora group set on
Just seen this Citic X on the classifieds. Any good?

Kinesis 5t is a nice ride
58cm Cannondale CAADX frame and fork, black, ridden only a small number of times, £250?
Go for that cotic if it fits
Just built one of the Ribbles for someone. SUPERB bargain.
That singular sounds good, but a couple more good looking options here:

Think the ribble option is the one for me, thanks all for your help
