Having done Afan to death, I was thinking of Cwmcarn for a couple of days camping and cycling.  What's it like and is there enough to occupy that length of time (I don't mind repeating routes, just want to know if they're entertaining enough to bother).

Cheers.

Did a pilgrimage to Coed Y Brenin last week to do the old "Karrimoor" and was very pleasantly suprised how well they are keeping the trails up there so worth a though, albeit bit of a drive.

Car Park was rammed when I got there which may explain the revenue getting put into keeping the trails nice I guess, Hardly saw anyone once out in the trails proper so a very enjoyable Ride!

Bit dis-heartened with Afan at the mo as they seem to have let the trails erode to the point that I just don't enjoy them anymore and get battered on the hardtail.

If I am going to indulge in a trail centre I want fun not a beating.

Mayb getting old LOL!

Cwmcarn is a great trail centre. Two red grade trails, both with district personalities. to make a couple of days of it, you would have to do both in one day which is 3-4 hrs riding, then you could play on the two DH tracks, maybe even uplifted if it's running on the days your there. No idea about camping locally though.

I live in Bristol and go to cwmcarn alot. Bang for your buck trail centre!
