Junior hacksaw or pipe cutter?
I do not have a vice so I'd probably have to do it with the bars in situ?
My gut instinct says pipe cutter but I was just wondering which generally gets the best results.
Or would it be an ideal excuse to wander down to the local tool emporium and avail myself of one of their finest bench vices?
Pipe cutter cuts straight but leaves a flange.
Pipe cutter and a file will be neatest.
How straight can you saw? 😉
Never mind how straight can you saw, if you are any good with the file to tidy up it won't matter what you cut it with!

Normal (12") hacksaw, 32TPI blade and a file to tidy up afterwards.
Slowjo, I've first hand experience of your DIY skills. I think you should arm yourself with a packet of biscuits and pop down to the local bike shop 😀
LOL!
Cheeky beggar!
At least I can change a tube in less than 30 minutes 😉
I've always found a good hacksaw cut needs less tidying up than the flange from a pipe cutter.
Bought a pipe cutter and small set of files from ebay for less than £9 and they do the job perfectly with nice even cut. Chopped down 2 sets of bars and both worked really well.
If you've got any leftover lockon grip ends, they make perfect cut guides.
chainsaw it then 😆Never mind how straight can you saw, if you are any good with the file to tidy up it won't matter what you cut it with!
I use one of these pipe cutters
Leaves a little flange so no filing required and never had a problem with all the bars I have done!
Pipe cutter. Once you've done your bars you'll be looking for other pipes to cut.
I really did need to take an inch off my seat post.
