Anyone know what condition cut gate is in at the moment, fancying a blast over there this weekend but won't bother if it's a bog of grinding paste like it can be.
It should be pretty bonza up there. I rode it last Saturday. A bit spongy as you leave the well defined rut out of cranberry Clough (climbing north). A few boggy bits after the top cairn in the riverbed section, but ridden with a playful trialsy attitude, you should be fine. I would opt to descend northwards using the left hand (armoured) trail as the right hand ruts in peat trail is still a bit claggy (although not a million miles off of solid and silvery).
We had a great ride and you should be at least as well off this weekend.
Enjoy.
Nice one, sounds like it's worth a go then. Cheers for the info.
