Custom derailleur hanger - any companies make them?

I need a spare derailleur hanger for my old-ish Epoca (a very low-volume Italian manufacturer) road frame.

I've tried Pilo and BETD to no avail, and I'm not having any luck with Epoca themselves either.

I have the original hanger - I want to get a spare before I bend/snap it - so perhaps it would be possible to replicate it from that.

Can anyone think of a company who could help?

Post a couple of pic on here maybe someone can identify an equivalent?

In the past I've searched eBay for all hangers and trawled through them to find one the same, even then sometimes I've had to file them down.

More often than not I've found them but sometimes they are frame specific. It's mad how many different hanger designs there are! Hopefully the SRAM standard will be adopted widely.

Good idea, here it is. Couldn't agree more on a standard (but I'll believe it when I see it...).

Thanks TiRed - alas, there's not a match on that site and Google image search thinks it's an AR15 trigger.

if the frame is steel, it could (in impact of a breakage) just be repaired with a weld?

I'd not be too concerned about a road hanger, maybe use a sacrificial bolt? I think they used to be a common thing before hangers were commonly replaceable - but now I can't find the name of it

Not hard to make one as you have something to copy. Either

1 Trace around it. Mark the hole centres carefully. Transfer the outline into some Al or steel plate, thickness equal to the thickest part of the original. Cut out.

Or

2 Import your image above into something like Solidwork or Fusion 360. Trace around the image in the CAD software, scale it based on one dimensioned measured from the original. Save as a file suitable for your local laser/water cutting company. Hand over some money and you'll have a lifetimes supply.

I'd do 1 if it was me.

Thanks all.

It's a 3D hanger - you can sort of see in the photo above that there's a recessed part that interfaces with the inside of the dropout on the frame, so cutting one out of plate wouldn't work.

I do remember 'breakaway bolts' made by SRP, but they are derailleur-model specific (I think I had one on an XT M739) - no way you can get one to fit a modern road derailleur.

I will drop that derailleurhangers.com website an email.

The search continues!

This is a problem with off brand products, spare parts can be a nightmare to obtain.  Wheels Manufacturing might have something for it though.

Even if it's '3d' you can still make one out of plate, just need several thinner parts, maybe glued together. Could even be a few sheets of carbon fibre you can buy online.
