Hello all my names Brad,I'm new to the forum but thought I would join up.I recently came across the site whilst trying to find information about some current Curtis Frames and there seemed to be quite abit on here.
Anyway cut a long story short I have had mine built after meeting Gary and it's finally a bike.
Wanted to share it so it will help people like myself that are looking for more info on their stuff and to give idea's as the website is quite dated now and the options are by no means restricted to what the site says.
Although not to everyones taste here she is:
This is my Bespoke single speed mainly used for fitness around the southeast coast and as a road warrior.

That's very nice mate. Curtis make quality frames. I have one of their t45 bmx frames and I love it. I've put it through some proper shit over the years. It cracked once on the bottom bracket/chainstay joint. It went back to Curtis and they repaired it free of charge. Can't say fairer than that.

Nice, I have 2 Curtis bikes, an 853 S/S as yours and the new XC9, a wise choice.
It will need abusing on dirt though to get the most out of it.
Looks lovely I have one of the t45's that CRC were knocking out cheap and it's probably the nicest riding frame I've had.

Still gutted I didn't buy one of their CRC bargains. Not that I have(or had) any need for one.

Thanks everyone.I've managed to ride it twice but am going on holiday for a couple of weeks now but at least I'll have something to look foward to come home time haha.
So far it does ride bloody well,pretty light little bike now over my old Sanderson frame.
I don't work for Curtis unfortunately,I'm the complete other end of the south coastline.Wouldn't mind it though ha.
@ alpitudeluke I wouldn't mind a Curtis BMX frame but I'm still happy flowing the trails on my S&M Cardona at the mo.

@ float, You got it single rear brake.It's to keep things simple I'm from a BMX background so guess it seems alot more at home with me than to others.
@ YoKaiser, The decals on the rims have been sitting in my mind too i think it will make it look alittle cleaner too.As for forks I'm a sucker for Pace RC31's so unfortunately they're staying.Unless Gary has idea's to produce a slim steel fork.

Luuurvely. I got a T45 S1 and as wwaswas said, its the best riding frame I've ever had. Had a load of steel frames but this just ticks every 'high end steep frame cliche' box. Had a Supercross when they first came out in the late 90s - think mine was number 8 or something. Its still going strong too as far as I'm aware...
Thanks Dave,yeh it seems beautiful so far.Mine is pretty much an S1,Gary and I didn't know what model it fell into once I'd finished the plans.
I had a shorter headtube,narrower BB shell,integrated seatclamp and shortened dropouts.Plus the usual custom Geo.

I think you might want a front brake for that kind of bike and riding. How long before you put fat tyres on it 😉

Buzz-lightyear , I've had a single brake on my previous build for a couple of years.
Captain bastard , The Bicycle acadamy is great but way too far for me to travel for evening classes and use of a workshop afterwards.If i was in the southwest it would be a different story.
Rorschach , The bolts are countersunk bolts from my local bearing store and the seated washers i machined to fit.

Ah and Bimbler,they have made a 29er frame Candodavid is the proud Owner.You can find quite a few pictures of it at Bespoked Bristol earlier this year in a Google image search.

First bike looks like it's not finished tbh. Would look a lot nicer with fat tyres IMO, stick on some Big Apples or something similiar.
(not that I own a single good looking bike!)

Northwind=Not finished?,it's called simplicity.The tyres on it are perfect for what the bike is used for.Big apples are for the ham fisted rider.
YoKaiser-I have given in the Rim decals are off.
Have recently changed the brake for a Magura MT6 and what a disapointment that was.Think i may mate a Hope IS mount Mono Mini caliper to a new race lever perhaps and see how that is.
