So after yesterdays ride in the hills I found this when cleaning the bike down.

Looking on the Cube website, I have a 6 year warranty on the frame and this chainstay crack looks like a manufacturing defect to me.
Now my question. Are they likely to just replace the chainstay which to be honest I'd prefer or I'll have to strip all my upgrade stuff off the frame (handle bars, stem, seat, gear cables, etc.) or are they likely to just want me to return the frame and swap the whole thing over? Does anyone have any experience with Cube warranty claims?
I've been in touch with the dealer and they have sent the details off to Cube and
I have to wait for a response them but I was wondering what peoples thoughts were.
How old is the cube? I'd guess (I don't know and not pretending I do) that this will affect if they replace the chainstay or whole frame. Older models will be less likely to be in stock so they may not be able to provide like-for-like.
Be interested to see how this turn out (or how long it takes to get sorted).
I'd expect that to be a straight forward warranty claim but the manufacturer does have a right to inspect it 1st before replacing.
Had almost the same thing happen to my 2012 cube AMS 130 pro (chainstay cracked), took bike to dealer I had bought the bike from new and they said Cube would replace the frame complete, BUT it would take 3-4 months for the frame to come through so in the meantime they supplied my a hardtail frame and swapped bits over from the full suss to keep me riding.
When the full suss frame came through from Cube they swapped everything over and told me I could keep the hardtail frame FOC, top result in my book , but I'm not sure how much was down to my local dealer and how much was Cube.

Interestingly enough this is a 2012 AMS 130 sl, I wonder if there was a design / manufacturing fault here or maybe a faulty batch of chainstays? Looking at the crack it looks like a case of cold cracking of the weld that has propagated into the section.
I bought this through Leisure Lakes so it's not really practical for me to return it to them unless they are replacing the frame by return. Hopefully Cube come through for me. Looks like I'll be on the hardtail for a while.
If I were Cube I'd say you go through the retailer you bought from - it's part of the business model to work through third parties, not consumer direct.

As stated in the original post, I am going through the dealer I bought it from, Leisure Lakes, I just said it wasn't practical to return it to them if they are going to "sit on it" for months as happened to bigmick25........
Dont have experience of cube warranty claims, but do have experience of a frame warranty claim via leisure lakes.
I bought a 2005 specialized enduro from them, which cracked on the chainstay (same place as your cube). I called leisure lakes, and sent them a photo. A day or two later they confirmed that specialized would cover it under warranty, and would provide a new chainstay .
Leisure lakes asked that I take the entire bike back to them for them to fit the new chainstay. This was ok for me, as I lived near enough to one of their stores.
I guess the whole process from telling them about the broken frame to getting th ebike back fixed probably took about 4 weeks.
I've lost count of the number of broken pube frames I've seen. Just saying.
I found Cube (or rather CRC who I bought it through) very helpful. I had a misaligned rear triangle which was giving me endless shifting issues from new. I just set out the problem, as I saw it, in plain non confrontational language and sent then some pics. They replaced the parts.
I've since cracked the Seatube but the frames out of warranty now. Just got it welded (to the seatpost ;-)and its been fine.
