Hi all, I got one of these about 9 months ago, it came with 2.35 Magic Mary up front, and a 2.35 Hans Dampf on the rear. I fancy something larger, AFAIK 2.6s would be OK,but what about 2.8s, any one running them, will they fit ?? I like the combo, so same tyres.
You are are not going to improve your bike in any way by putting bigger tyres on it, if it were a hardtail you'd get a bit more cushioning, but with 140 on the back and 150 up front I don't see that.
Bigger tyres make the bike more lethargic in turns, I don't see any gains, if there were gains in terms of speed then Enduro racers would have them on their bikes. In the Magic Mary 2.35 you have the second most common tyre in the Enduro racing world.
I've got the 150 tm sterio and I think it's 2.6 max , stick with 2.35 - 2.4 tyres as 2.8 will be too draggy, I've taken the magic mary off and gone wild enduro which runs faster
