Just watch Cy doing a bit about electric gears but that's not what caught my attention.

It was thst he implied the M8200 cassette was noticeably better than the M8100.

Is that the case? Would anyone notice in a blind test? Does it justify the £50 difference between the two?

Perhaps it is a revelation but has passed me by because only my gravel bike is Shimano 12 speed.

Not tried one yet, but that’s the chat from Shimano - both the 9200 and 8200 cassettes shift better/faster under load than 9100 and 8100.

Totally agree with Cy re battery operated gears BTW.

I'd somehow missed that chatter but also not bothered with electric shifting
