Actually, more likely aluminium. Fit for purpose as I don't intend on driving and suv over my bike.

haha, very crude/american way to test things

Even though I know it was a pre-record I so wanted that truck to crush the titanium tube as well

TBH I would expect my bike and all components to be wrecked being ridden over by a vehicle that size

Of course, if you designed a carbon fibre tube to take radial loads it would be fine.

Yes, because what i'm interested in when selecting a material my bike will be made from is it's strength in a direction that has no bearing on it's suitability for manufacturing a bike from. I also like how the ti tube is un-manipulated. I'd guess that any manipulation a frame builder could do to a ti tube is only to make it weaker.
