Has anybody managed to come up with a way to extend the coverage for the rear guard? My Secteur doesn't have mounts and these have managed to work their way to to the top of my mudguard list but the rear is going to get me regularly bollocked unless I can extend the coverage.

The mk2 came with multiple tail sections to extend coverage, do the mk3 not have the same option?

I suppose you could scrounge an old bit from another guard or some other bit of plastic to drill/zip-tie/araldite an extension on with if necessary. Probably not the neat solution you're hoping for though...

Hey Steve, can you not get sks race blade longs in there, far better than the cruds in my experience, granted these were the mark 2 cruds? SKS are a bargain 26£ at CRC at the mo. Or alternatively, if you check out my latest classifieds ad, I may well have just what you need, and free to your good self. Be my pleasure ?

No extra pieces as far as I'm aware. The design in this respect does seem quite strange. I can't see why they didn't extend the rear down past the hub.
Awww, bugger! I've just bought the Cruds from Evans in Macc and my lovely wife is in the conservatory as I type [s]swearing like a docker[/s] fitting them for me. I've been two minutes too eager or I would have happily paid for those adapters Stevie!

No worries mate, I would drop crud an email and ask them. I know when I snapped my cruds I dropped them an email and within 72 hours replacement bits arrived free of charge. So customer service wise, I think they are dead helpful.

Cut something out of a plastic milk/detergent/other bottle? Thought that was a standard mod to any mudguard that was too short?

Split an old MTB tube to make a mudflap maybe?

I think because of the angle that the rear guard ends, anything rigid will stick out the back rather than hang down and anything pliable will sit on the tyre.... I'll have a think...or contact Crud as suggested by the Gent that is theboatman.

Best mod I did to crud raceguards was to take them back to the shop and turn them into sks raceblades. Hth

Unsurprisingly, not much really.

Use the curvature of the bottle? Flaps don't necessarily follow the curve of the wheel from what I've seen
