You don't need to be an 'investor' to invest in Singletrack: 6 days left: 95% of target - Find out more
A good few years ago, I decided to invest in some proper tools for installing and removing crown races, havinggot fed up with destroying crown races, crowns and fingers with screwdrivers and hammers.
Thought they'd last forever, and they probably will, but they don't work with these new fangled 1.5" crown races.
Had a quick look on Google but there doesn't seem to be any outright better tools (let's ignore Park tools for now on the basis of price)
So which tools are you guys using and would you recommend them?
Thanks in advance
Hope split crown race for me. No tools needed.
There's a machined alloy 'taper' adapter on fleabay from the states. Looks well made and just slots on before driving home with standard 1 1/8th crown race tool. Only reason I've not bought it is I have a hope split race.
Have you got a link lummox?
Seller is mtnbiker4life but doesn't seem to have any currently listed. Only place it shows up is in my 'ended' list
Still selling lots of other bits so worth a mail to them
There a bloke in the states, mtb tools on ebay I think.
