About to set these up, but is it better to leave the current plastic rim strip and tape over with stans or remove it first and then tape?
Only have enough tape left to do 2 wheels once around, so don't want to cock it up!!

Stans tape on bare rims.
Hi Rob, Silas here! Glad you got the wheels OK. When I was looking into setting them up tubeless a Stans kit seemed the best way. Yellow tape on bare rims and then the rim strips that include the valve.
Might be OK with just yellow tape and valves, I have read about folk who have done just that. Might need a bit more goo though.
I've just got tape and valves. Needed a gas canister to get it to seat though. Would have been easier with a rim strip.
I've just realised I've only got 25mm tape and its way too big!!
Guess my bro in law will be waiting a wee while until I get it all sorted for him!
