You don't need to be an 'investor' to invest in Singletrack: 6 days left: 95% of target - Find out more
Looking at planning next years trips. Any one ridden in the area. What's the singletrack like. Any pointers as to where the best riding is and campsites in the area. Looking to fill a weekish between Finale and the Dolomites early summer

Thanks. Looks good but need to be on land for the duration.

Rocky and white, based on my holiday there last month (without bike) 😀
Sorry, can't offer any trail advice - but might be worth a snoop on here to identify likely areas:

Quite a trek from either of those locations. Expect wherever you are too be full of Germans. Lots of FKK campsites, so be careful when it comes to booking places to stay.
Went there a few years ago for work around Split. Had a day off and went for a walk up into the hills. Very dry and rocky.
Looking at Trailforks there seems to be lots of riding on the southern side of the Istrian peninsula.
Looked at Trailforks when putting the trip together most of the stuff is concentrated in the Rijeka region
We will have 47 days to do the tour. Travelling isn't a problem. Just got back from a 3000 mile trip
The campsites in Finale and the Italian Mediterranean biking areas are predominantly full of German or Swiss German so used to it.

But at least they're not naked....!
I asked a laconic biking mate how his holiday in Croatia had gone. He replied, ‘Fine, if you like naked Germans’
As long as the trails are good i can put up with most other things 🤣
Have a look at the Istrian Peninsula, Spesh and a few others have done bike releases there.
I had a good time riding the trail centre at Rabac on a family holiday in the resort there last year - good hire place and the guys there said they mostly ride around Buzet up in the hills when it’s too hot on the coast, which it was!
I can share the gps routes from the epic series races as the 4islands based on krk, cres and losinj.
Viki and Martin of freeride inc have spent a fair bit of time there and their videos show some good trails around istRia and Rijeka. they do share routes on their website and are pretty helpful.
croatia is ace…
Just got back from Rovinj and heavy cycle investment with a lot of tracks and published cycle routes with good signage. Not huge amounts of footpath type routes but you can out and about with very minimal car interaction. Bikes were free from the hotel but plenty of places to hire and Rovinj is a great place to visit.
https://www.istria-bike.com is a good starter as is Strava and Komoot.
Thanks given us some ideas. Looks like we can fill a weekish before moving back into Italy
