What a cracking place. I've been before maybe 5-10 years ago with the kids, but we've never really explored. Although the top trails are decimated by forest clearance, and the whole place has been left for a year or two, is fabulous fun.
The red DH with wall rides, easy drops and berms was great, Hydro Trail similarly pumpy and swoopy fun, the remains of the blacks were great.
They do need some repair, trimming of shrubbery and fallen branch clearance though.
Anyone up for a spring clean of the trails?

The hydro trails, and most of the Knock trails were built by Tom, a groundsman at the Hydro, but he is now one of the main trail builders at Comrie Croft.
Basically he now gets paid to build awesome trails instead of it just being a side hobby at the hotel. Last time I spoke to him he had plans to rebuild the Knock but it would be in his own spare time. The hydro trails are the hotels, so it would be up to them to maintain. nothing wrong with a prune though I guess!
Aye, Colin at Comrie said the same when we popped in afterwards.
Another local summers evening venue. I'm taking some hand tools next time and will spend a few minutes pruning...
Great place to ride! Was wondering what state the natural trails were in after the de-forestation....
Crieff Knock
Cruyff Turn

Say what now?
I rode them last year when we stayed in the hotel - ace! Preferred the more natural stuff to the trail centre ones you mention Matt - a couple were really steep and on the limit of my ability. Hope the felling hasn't wiped them out.
I thought Tom had said the off piste natural stuff was pretty much gone,He's hoping to resurect them but i dare say the mob who felled the trees have left a big mess so will take a lot of hard work to tidy the ground enough to re-establish the old stuff
The proper steep stuff on the upper knock is accessible via one of the old starts, but the tamer trail with the A frame is not (at least wasn't at christmas). The two waymarked red upper trails aren't cleared either.
