Been up near Crickhowell for a few weeks on the Greenman festival build, nearly done so keen to get out on the bike and explore the surrounding hills that have been tempting me

Any good routes nearby? Might hang on up here for another week or two, so any not so near routes thrown in for good measure welcome

Cheers

Hope you survived the mud!

Last year I did the Black Mountain classic from the Vertebrate publishing book. I enjoyed it so much I did it again this year. ~45km +1500m. Big views and 3 cracking descents. let me know if you need me to link you up with the gpx

The Gap road and the Llangorse route are probably within range too

where were you rigging? Had a great time at Greenman with my boy and some friends.

Im afraid Im a bit old skool and so no gpx for you, but there's a couple of routes identifiable from my maps here. The langorse loop is in red on the Left. The blue route is fantastic despite a big carry climb at the northern end. The red loop at the southern end of the blue one is a shorter version. Pink are just random tracks that I think can be ridden but I might not have knitted them into a specific route. Direction markers on the pink ones are based on what I think would be the right way round to do it.

Black mountains classic is a corker. As the route above, making sure to do the Crug Mawr descent as well. Best done clockwise, and a big ride too with no shops, so take lots of food and drink!

Black mountains classic looks like a good shout, oldejeans if you have the gpx that would be great, email in profile if that's easier

Langorse route also looks good, have nothing planned for a couple of weeks so plenty of time to explore

Stoner, whole site, first in and last out... loved every minute, fantastic ethos and a wonderful bunch
