recently started getting a creak from my ck headset, if i stop and tighten it a bit it stops, couple of runs later its back, any ideas?
all seems ok but maybe im missing something

Yeah you can swap it. There are better cheaper headsets out there now though. But you can't say that on this forum really as people get titty lips.

I had the same problem, I put a bit of grease between the spacers/top bit of the headset and the creaking went away.

i'll have a play, its getting on a bit now though, see if i can get another year or two out of it before i swap.
yep agree there are cheaper sets, dont know about better but at least as good i reckon, but will they last 10 years?
Although triggers broom does spring to mind

no, no you didn't (soft voice), Chris king headsets are faultless, they are completely reliable, the last headset you will ever buy, everyone knows this.

this didn't happen...

I've had acros on my bikes for 3/4 years now. Still on original bearings.

Very pleased with them.
