Charge spoon saddle less than 6 months old is creaking like a badly creaking thing. Can i undo plastic base so as to gain access to where the rails attach to the base so i can pack them out or is this ill advised?

Just drip a bit of wet lube into the sockets on the base where the rails attach.

Just push some grease into the holes where the rails go into the plastic moulding.

Step 1 - Turn bike upside down
Step 2 - Squirt lubricant of choice towards hole. I like GT85 for this purpose.
Step 3 - Turn bike back over

Obviously you've tightened the fixing bolts.

I've had one of these. No amount of dripping/squirting oil and lube into it would quieten it down. Ended up putting the old, ragged one back on again.

So can you put it back together again easily enough if you undo all the torx bolts around the edge?

I think I have 3 Spoons that are noisy... all sitting in a box waiting for inspiration. I've tried just about every 'lube' or wet thing on them and still noisy.

They're comfy though.
