Built up a lurcher and cant get rid of a creak on every down stroke under pressure
Ive nipped up all bolts drop outs etc. Seat post headset bars saddle stem bars. Had crank out greased not greased. Steerer greased checked. Qrs not too tight. Basically everything I can do. Only thing ive not done due to lack of tools is remove bb and replace. Could it be that?
Btw any lurcher owners out there do you use a spacer on the bb as its meant to be a 92mm bb and planetx say not to fit but various american sources online say they have fit a spacer
Id try that but it means buying new tools and a new bb
Its really annoying
I've had lots of bb sounding creaks sorted by cleaning/greasing integrated type headsets
Dropped forks out and cleaned bearings regreased and still there 🙁
Have you had the derailleur hanger off and greased between the two surfaces ?
No but will try. If I hold the bike tt against me and pressure the pedal down it does the creak so I'm thinking its gotta be the bb as it does it at a standstill
