Anyone else missing the constant CRC bargains, and the endorphin rush of bagging ultra cheap BBs and forks, etc.? 😁

Otoh, my bank account is much healthier, and the other half has commented on the recent lack of deliveries.

I'm relieved, I definitely bought a lot of stuff I wasn't planning to. It has made it easier to resist bargains that aren't on the same level.

None at all, although I've not needed any reasonably priced spares for a bit...

Far too easy to browse and buy excess because it's there and arrives 2 days later.

No, but there seem to be less bargains about now from others now, possibly related.

Low (sizes and colours) or no stock of a few things too, e.g. MET and Leatt convertible helmets.

Nope, I am now in full retro mode with my only bike being from 1996 so am now just looking for nice condition and NOS stuff from that period.

I don't even remember what I bought. As I live in Ireland and they stopped shipping abroad I got my bargains sent to my mums in Scotland. I think I got 3 orders but with the old website gone I cannot even see the orders now so I am in for a nice surprise next time I visit my Mum.

I'm actually going to say no.

In retrospect the strange FOMO inducing feeding frenzy (which I very much participated in) feels a bit icky now. A large business was imploding, people were losing jobs but the volume of sales going Chiggle's way in those circumstances probably damaged the performance of their competitors too during a pretty key period for retail (December-January) I do wonder if the damage goes well beyond chiggle.

And people were buying stuff they didn't really need, perhaps at a time when they didn't need to be spending extra.

It wasn't actually a 'good' thing.

So yeah I've got some spare cassettes and tyres and gloves and several things I never needed but popped on an order to get the free postage, but I knew it was unsustainable, we all did. I would probably be happier knowing I can get stuff I need, at affordable prices, when I need it, rather than hoarding "bargains" and watching the businesses that would supply me, and others, fail and people lose their jobs.

Towards the end I just stopped looking at the chiggle sites and the forum PSAs, I was getting "bargain fatigue" each day brought another thing I never knew I really wanted at a price I'd never see again, which would be gone in a couple of hours... **** that noise, I should have been going out and riding my bike.

I'd rather see fair, consistent prices than wild highs and lows and economic turmoil, that applies across the board, not just to bicycle tatt.

I find it much easier to ignore the PSAs now they're all in one thread!

I'm sure I've missed out on stuff that I genuinely needed but overall I've probably saved some money🤣

Whilst I benefitted from the firesale with some bargains (well quite a lot of bargains actually), Id much prefer they were still going (as Im sure the former employees do) as they were a constant for so many years and I liked the in-house brands. Also said as an owner of 2 Vitus bikes (both bought way before the administration) who worries about spares now
