Have always bought wheels built to order by a LBS or Merlin. But CRC currently pip both on price for what I want. Anyone got any good or bad reports? For some illogical reason I appear to believe Merlin's builders to be 'better' than CRCs.

EDIT: my mistake, the wheels I'm after are from Evans not CRC. That might change things.

Which set are they? the only wheels built by evans themselves would be done in store as a custom build.
