I've been trying to find a crankset compatible with sram transmission that doesn't have a wider q-factor than previous cranks. My previous bike's cranks have a q-factor of 167mm, with new sram transmission cranks going up to 174 and new shimano's around the same. So is hope/raceface. The move to a 55mm chainline means everyone's widened their cranks. There's some xc cranks with lower q-factors but nothing for more enduro use.
I have very narrow hips for my height and get knee pain if pedalling with anything than my current setup (52mm axle crankbrothers pedals + 167mm q-factor cranks, with cleats most of the way in). I've tried widening my stance by 3 mm a side with cleats before and my knee gets irritated quickly, and i've found the same with these new cranks. I've had a bikefit which agreed, and my road bike has a lower stance than this too.
I'm a bit stumped here. I can't swap my old cranks as not compatible with transmission chainrings. Just feeling like an industry trend that for my particular fit, doesn't work.
Xtr are 168

Is it also worth a try on flat pedals.
Cleats in = stance increase? Sure you've got that the right way round?with cleats most of the way in
If you need a 55mm chainline and narrow Q-factor, you could use the M9120 cranks mentioned above with the new CRM96 chainring.
I believe that X01 cranksets have 168mm Q-factor.
You can pair this with something like a Wolftooth chainring and it'll give you the narrower Q-factor and be Transmission compatible.
