At 6' I've ridden 170mm and 175mm cranks and noticed no difference. However, I'm in the process of building up a bike for my 5'4" partner. I've found a suitable crankset on CRC with 170mm arms, which would be the obvious choice but I've also found it rather cheaper elsewhere but only with 175mm arms. At 5'4" will that extra 5mm be a problem?

My 5'2" wife rides 175mm with no problems
I have 170mm on 1 of my bikes and can feel a differance if I jump from that straight on to another one

Its also the extra clearance rather than feeling difference?
