How can I remove the cranks,
I have a crank remover but need an insert that can be pushed against. I tried a 5p but in just bends. the cranks are non auto extract.

Depends which model of cranks. I have some turbines that have the self-extracting bolt that pushes against the insert. I've read that you can use an isis crank extractor, but haven't tried one. Planet X have them for £3.50.
I've used a rubber mallet to remove them before, after the Raceface bolt threads stripped, cos they're made of cheese! Not sure I'd reccommend this method, but it worked fine for me.
