Hi all.

Im trying to sort out the creep issue with my highline dropper and potentially narrowed it down to the non standard lever that came fitted on the bike.

The highline lever is quite expensive so I was wondering if any of you are using an alternative lever.

Cheers

Steve.

Have you checked the alignment of the grey metal attachment at the base of the post? Adjusting what position that is when the collar is tightened changes where the slotted blue plastic bit sits when the cable is slack. If the metal bit isn't right it stops the plastic bit unwinding fully and so the post won't lock. The ridge on the metal bit should be aligned with the sticker arrow but you can adjust slightly either side too.

Apologies if you've already been there!

Hi mate.

I think I've checked that but going to take the post out the frame again tomorrow as crank brothers sent me a stronger return spring to use.

My problem now is that the grub screw that holds the cable in the lever has threaded and the cable keeps slipping.

Ah, if it's the spring tension as it's an older post then the stronger spring should sort it. What a PITA ref the lever. Not sure there is enough metal to drill it out and retap it without it being weakened. Might need a new lever - ZTTO?

ZTTO seems ok to me so far -
got one recently to try with my Oneup post. So far so good.

Replaced a Bonty one that feels solid but didn’t seem to have enough leverage to pull the Oneup post well - although bizarrely it was fine with the brand x ones I’ve had.

Does the ztto lever have the nipple end of the cable or the end you cut ?

Bonty remote, clamps cable with a grub screw like ZTTO. Bought a second one recently because I was so impressed (for the price).

I'm now in the same situation - the grub screw on the lever has a recommended torque of 1nm (with a 2mm hex key) - my torque wrench doesn't go that low / small so I think I've stripped it... Seems like a very low tolerance part! Emailed Crankbrothers for advice but suspect I need a new lever.

The One-up lever is pretty good. Feels like it has a bit more leverage than the CB lever (I’ve used both on the same dropper).

Ok cheers, I may well go with that recommendation, once I've heard back from CB.
Have now got the Highline 7, seems like a much better design on the post mechanism, just need to get a reliable lever (Highline lever was working fine for ages until I presumably over-torqued it).
